Bienvenue

This picture was taken along a clay road, on the way to the village of Nyakabingo from Sebitoli. This door, closed in the middle of a hedge, did not obstruct either the passage or the gaze of the curious. It was simply « there », erected red and planted on the edge of a vast plantation of bananas. This door reminds me of the notion of frontier, omnipresent in my research on the interactions between humans, forests and animals: those that delimit territories, those that attract, that reject or are rejected, those that are tangible but also intangible.
